ELECTRA was an Internet portal to adult education and lifelong learning in Europe including both its own Database and links to Internet sites for searching in other Databases. The ELECTRA as information concerned 6 European Union Countries namely France, Germany, Hellas, Italy, Scotland, and Sweden and was provided in the language of each country. ELECTRA web servers existed for all participating countries giving improved accessibility to information. You could therefore, select the relevant server to gain access to country specific information. You could search all the ELECTRA databases for contents on any server. However each local server provided links to other information sources (web sites or Databases) which were relevant only to the specific country.
